About Dried Buttermilk Mix: Dried buttermilk mix is a wonderful product to have in your cabinet or refrigerator. Unlike regular buttermilk, dried buttermilk mix requires no refrigeration and can last for months (although refrigeration can extend the life even longer). It is also economical because just 1/4 cup of dried buttermilk mix and 1 cup of water is equivalent to 1 cup of liquid buttermilk. You can use just the amount you need instead of having to buy a quart or half gallon of liquid buttermilk just to get one cup. The dried buttermilk mix can typically be used anywhere you would use liquid buttermilk. Just mix the dried buttermilk mix in with your dry ingredients (such as your flour, baking soda, etc.).
